HGNNC delivers backpacks to schools
On May 23 the HGNNC Ad Hoc Homeless Issues Committee assembled and distributed backpacks filled with toiletries to our five elementary schools for them to distribute to their homeless students.
The Finance Committee will be reviewing all received requests at their May 30 meeting before recommending requests which meet HGNNC goals and funding guideline requirements to the full Board for approval.

Mayor Garcetti delivered his State of the City Address April 16 saying that he needs the help of Angelenos to improve our quality of life in Los Angeles. This coming fiscal year, please consider joining the Mayor, the City Council, City departments, and community partners to spur economic growth in key industries, improve regional infrastructure connectivity, and ensure everyone benefits from the progress of the City.
The CARE Study will assess arsenic, lead, mercury, and other chemicals in your body and provide information on what you and your family can do to reduce your contact with these chemicals.

The two affordable supported housing projects which Meta Housing has been building at 535 W. El Segundo Blvd., west of Figueroa Street, and at 550 W. 127th Street will both open in April.
The LAPD issued their draft policy regarding releasing critical incident video, which calls for releasing the video within 45 days of the incident or sooner. You are invited to comment before March 13. Also, you can provide your input on the necessary qualities of our next Police Chief by March 23.
