Small Business Solar Workshop – Thursday, August 17 at 10 AM
Calling all property owners!
As a building owner in the area, you have been selected to participate in a solar energy program that would turn your unused rooftop/parking space into long-term revenue.
Join LA City Councilmember Tim McOsker, LADWP, the Los Angeles Business Council, Valta Energy, Catalyze, GreenQuest, PCS Energy, Wells Fargo, Property Owners, Solar Developers, and Financiers to discuss the opportunities available to you. Come join us at Brouwerij West, near the Port of Los Angeles, to learn about LADWP’s solar programs and enjoy lunch and beer tasting after the workshop!
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s solar Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) program pairs property owners with qualified solar developers. In exchange for space on your rooftop/parking lot, building owners receive regular lease payments from the solar developer. The FiT program solar canopy and carport adder now allows property owners to install solar on their parking lots while also incentivizing the installation of electric vehicle chargers on their property.
This opportunity means you can turn your roof/parking lot into an asset, without incurring the costs that solar installation would otherwise require. Rooftop and parking lot solar paired with EV chargers also increase your property value while cutting down on HVAC costs. Plus, annual roof repair costs are often covered under warranty.
Come join us to learn about the programs available to you to make money while helping to clean air, create cool, shade, and empower equitable opportunity to make Los Angeles healthier and resilient.
