The Vermont Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is part of Metro’s plan for better transit. This project will connect the communities along Vermont Avevenue in the City of Los Angeles from 120th Street to Sunset Blvd. through a new zero-emission BRT service while improving access to jobs, education, and other important destinations.

Pre-construction activities may begin as early as May 11th, with preliminary work on Vermont Avenue to prepare the roadway for construction later this year. These activities will include locating and identifying underground utilities through the process of digging small, controlled, exploratory holes to physically locate and verify underground utilities (pipes, cables) before excavation.
