A Word from Keith Pitts
I am pleased to serve District 1. I have resided in Harbor-Gateway North for 16 years. During this time, I have raised my family and personally witnessed the change in our community. There are many issues that need to be addressed. From consistent illegal dumping, the homeless population to street cleaning. It is with great excitement that I have the opportunity with your help to make change. I am the director of the culinary and food outreach ministry for historic Ward African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. I was an executive producer and voice actor on the syndicated radio documentary, Who We Are: The Life and Times of Black America. I am the Chief Operations Office for the non-profit Who We Are Inc. I hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and am a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. Please contact me with any concerns and I can point you to useful resources, if you haven't already found them on this website. Your best bet for getting the City to address problems like graffiti, homeless encampments, abandoned cars, overgrown property and more is to complete a MyLA311 service request online or by App. If you have made several requests via MyLA311 and haven't gotten any results, please let me know and we can escalate the concern. Together, we can make District 1 better!District 1 News
