The South L.A. and Southeast L.A. Community Plans are being updated
If you live in Harbor Gateway North’s District 6 (South L.A.) or Districts 7 and 8 (Southeast L.A.) the zoning restrictions and other guidelines which will regulate the look and feel of your neighborhood are being evaluated and changed. Now is the time to be involved!
If you live in Harbor Gateway North’s District 6 (South L.A.) or Districts 7 and 8 (Southeast L.A.) the zoning restrictions and other guidelines which will regulate the look and feel of your neighborhood are being evaluated and changed. The preliminary draft was sent out by the City’s Department of Planning on December 28, 2012. Note new zoning proposals for the Ralphs property at Vermont Avenue and 120th Street and also Avalon north and south of the Green Lines stations.
The Harbor Gateway North Neighborhood Council’s Planning and Land Use Committee has been reviewing the preliminary drafts and working with other Neighborhood Councils and community groups from the two plan areas to prepare for the draft Environmental Impact Report which will be released early next year. A Public Hearing on each plan will be held next spring. Watch this site for more information.
