San Pedro Student Art Competition 2026 Rules
Youth in any of the Harbor area elementary, middle, or high schools are eligible to enter the San Pedro Student Art Competition. Entries can be submitted via email, text, or in person. Student art works that are selected will be featured in an online exhibit that will be shown throughout the year and four cash prizes will be awarded. You can view this YouTube to see examples of previous competitions. The artwork above is by Candice Gutierrez, a winner from last year.
Entering the competition is very easy. Students only need to take a photo of their artwork and text it to 310-612-1949 or email spaa@sanpedroart.org along with their name, grade and
school and photo of the signed permission sheet. Artwork and forms can also be delivered to the main office at the school or dropped off to Crafted or to 376 W 14th St. San Pedro CA.
A panel of art professionals will judge the artwork. Submitted artwork may be of any appropriate subject matter (at the discretion of the judges). Art mediums accepted will be: charcoal, pastel (chalk or or oil), all drawing materials, all painting materials, photography (darkroom or digital.) and mixed media. All “loose” materials (chalk, pastels) must be sprayed with a proper fixative. Art should be done on paper, canvas, canvas board, or other surfaces appropriate for the medium.
The deadline for art submission is April 30.
