5-things to do ICE ENGLISH

Everyone has constitutional rights, regardless of immigration status. It’s important to know how to exercise them.

What to Do If ICE Tries to Enter Your Home or Vehicle

  1. Create a family preparedness plan with contact information for your lawyer, childcare providers, and other support.
  2. Do not open the door if an immigration agent is knocking. Ask to see a warrant through the window or under the door.
  3. You have the right to remain silent—do not answer any questions. Call the CHIRLA hotline at 888-624-4752 if you need guidance.
  4. You have the right to speak with a lawyer.
  5. Never carry false documentation, as it is a crime.
