Affirmed Housing will discuss their proposed new supportive housing project for formerly homeless families,12003 S. Main Street, at the Sat. October 6 meeting of the Harbor Gateway North Neighborhood Council Planning and Land Use Committee. The meeting takes place at 10 a.m. at the Harbor Gateway Community Center, 802 W. Gardena Blvd., Gardena, CA 90247.

The project, which is partly funded by Measure HHH funds, will have 62 units, including one for an on-site manager. The building replaces an older apartment building at the same location. The new building will be known as the South Main Street Apartments.

Other issues on the agenda will be a review of housing and job projection data provided by the Department of City Planning. This will be used to help determine recommendations for any needed zoning changes to accommodate housing growth in the Harbor Gateway Community Plan update. There will also be updates on a proposed new wireless cell tower at 13901 S. Hoover Street, the over-sized duplex issue in the R2 zoned areas of Districts 7 and 8, the proposed Prologis warehouse at 747 W. Redondo Beach Blvd., and a new permit application by California Waste Services.
