Board Meeting

The Harbor Gateway North Neighborhood Council will be hosting traveling Board meetings for the next several months. Our goal is to engage with the stakeholders within our neighborhood council boundaries. We want our community to know about their neighborhood council, volunteer to serve on committees. There are also upcoming opportunities to register as a candidate for the upcoming neighborhood council election in 2019. We seek diversity and inclusion on the Board representative of the Harbor Gateway North community.

Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach will be from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. The Board Meeting will begin at 6:30pm. We’re coming out to meet you, please join us.

This meeting will feature a talk by Tina Cox of the South Coast Air Quality Management District discussing current efforts to reduce air pollution in the area and also a presentation by the Pacific Gateway Workforce Development Bureau about a new initiative to create businesses and jobs within the Harbor Gateway area.

There will also be updates on the upcoming HGNNC Board elections. Anyone who lives, works, or owns property within the Harbor Gateway North boundaries or those who have a substantial and on-going participation in a community group, such as a church member or parent of a student in one of the HGNNC schools, may run for one of the 17 Board seats and also vote in the June 8 Board election. Candidates can begin filing on February 23.

Quarterly Membership Meetings are on the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July & October.
